Wish You Could Live the Laptop Lifestyle?

No matter what people tell you, there are only two ways to make money online.

1.  Sell something

AND

2.  Find others to join your team in selling something

You can do #1 without #2, but, in order for an opportunity to be legal, you can not do #2 without #1.

When you sell something, you earn commission.  Some companies will pay you 5%, some will pay 30%.  Some even pay as high as 40%.  How is that possible?  Well…generally, the product goes from the manufacturer through a bunch of middle men (who mark up the price at each step), and eventually is sold to the end consumer.

Generally, when you buy into a home based business, the product goes from the manufacturer through the company to the end consumer.  This way, the end price can be marked up, but there is no mark up from the middle men, so the company can pay you a commission for bringing them the end consumer.

I’m sure you’ve heard that some colleges are offering online education.  Convenience learning is a huge market in this day and age.  People love the idea of learning from the comfort of their home.

The products that I sell are online education for people who want to market their businesses on the internet.  Because they are made and delivered electronically, the manufacturing and delivery costs are very low.  The company, charges an affiliate fee of $20/mo., which covers these costs.  The commission that I make is 100% on what I sell.

100% is unheard of in the affiliate marketing arena.

How Dare you, Phil Robertson…

PhilRobertsonHere are my thoughts on the whole Phil Robertson interview thing.

OH…MY…GOSH!!!

An actor has an opinion.  WOW…who woulda thunk it?

A&E is all up in arms over his statements.  But…doesn’t he have a right to make them?  We don’t have to agree with the statements.  We don’t have to even watch Duck Dynasty if that’s what we decide.

Let Phil stay on the show.  Let the public decide if they want to watch or not.  But…when networks start censoring what actors can and can not say, they end up being the “bad guy”.

All they needed to do is put a disclaimer at the beginning of Duck Dynasty saying “The views of this show or it’s actors are not necessarily the views of A&E”.  Done…  no big fuss.

It’s been said there is no such thing as bad press.  I have to disagree in this case.  I think this is a huge negative on A&E.  Probably a good thing for Duck Dynasty and Phil Robertson, though.

Now…with that said…

I am a Christian and I don’t agree with Phil.

OUCH…WAIT…don’t throw the rotten tomatoes yet!!

As Christians, we are to strive to be “Christ like”.  I honestly don’t believe that Jesus would spew hatred toward ANYONE.  I have many friends who are GLBT and I couldn’t imagine being hateful toward any of them based on their sexual or lifestyle preference.  That’s crazy.

Now…let’s say that I believe being gay is a sin.  The Bible tells us not to judge.  It also says that there are no “degrees” of sin.  There is no sin better or worse than another.  It also says “We have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.  Not some of us.  Not most of us.  ALL of us.  So…if there is no degree of sin, and we are not supposed to judge, why should a Christian spew hatred toward anyone for their lifestyle?  Or anything else for that matter.

Let’s band together as Christians and show “sinners” (again…EVERYONE including us) that we are not the hypocritical, judgmental, horse’s ass that many Christians are being on this matter.

What is Your Money Mindset?

I was talking with a friend the other day and I couldn’t believe the conversation. She had seen my posts on facebook and on my blog about making money from home and wanted to know more. I explained to her that she has a lot of great things to talk about when we talk, so she could write those things in a blog and share her posts with others and begin making money. We will teach her everything she needs to know once she gets started.

She asked “How much money can I make?”

I answered “As much as you want. It’s entirely dependent on how much you put into it. This is a business. It requires real effort to earn real money.”

She said “I don’t know. If I make more than a couple hundred a week I will lose my food stamps. Do you know if I will be making that?”

I said “You know…on second thought…this probably is NOT for you”

I was flabbergasted!! Lose food stamps??? HELLO??? What is wrong with society these days? This person is afraid to make money because she will lose the handout she’s getting?? Don’t get me wrong… food stamps are there to help people when they are down. But…they are NOT meant to be a lifestyle. That is possibly the most ludicrous statement I’ve ever heard in my entire life!

My good friend Kim Klaver and her empower network earnings check

Where is your money mindset?

Are you stuck in poverty mode?

When you hear of the big income earners, what is your reaction? Do you think “I could never do that” or “That must be a lie” or something like that?

Or do you think “YES…now I know what is possible in this company!!”

Your mindset will determine where you go from here.

This photo shows my good friend Kim Klaver holding a check representing her $62,500 2nd quarter earnings for 2013 from Empower Network.  Your results may vary.  Results are dependent on effort, mindset, and many other factors.  See income disclosure here.
