With that said, I just listened to a statement George Zimmerman’s attorney made after Mr. Zimmerman turned himself in (as ordered by the court).  The attorney stated that Mrs. Zimmerman and her husband “were scared of what was going to happen” so they LIED about their financial situation at the original bond hearing.  I believe that.

Just like I believe Zimmerman was scared after he chased down and got into an altercation with Trayvon Martin, ending in Zimmerman shooting and KILLING Trayvon Martin.  I believe that Mr. Zimmerman made up the story of Trayvon coming back after him based on the position of Trayvon’s body and the position of Zimmerman’s truck.  (See previous post here)

Based on the number of lies told so far by Mr. Zimmerman (also in post referenced above), I believe Zimmerman needs to have a speedy trial and go to jail for the rest of his life.  The longer it drags out, the more opportunities he has to spew more lies.  Lock him up and throw away the key.

At first I thought this was a case of manslaughter, not murder.  However, hearing all of the lies and scrambling, I now believe the second degree murder charge is correct.  If Zimmeman had not chased down Trayvon, none of this would have happened and that boy would be alive today.  It was Zimmerman’s direct actions that caused Trayvon’s death.

His credibility is SHOT…I believe that if George Zimmerman’s mouth is moving or the mouths of his family member are moving, lies are what is coming out.

Today a judge ordered George Zimmerman”s bail revoked.  Seems he has 48 hours to surrender himself to the jail.

According to HLN News, there was a recorded jail conversation between Zimmerman and his wife, where they “allegedly conspired to transfer money in an attempt to hide certain funds from the court.”

Also, according to the prosecutor, Zimmerman has a second passport that he failed to disclose to the court.  One of the conditions of his bond was that he surrender his passport.  Apparently he surrendered ONE of them, but not the other one.  Why would someone have two passports anyway?

Just like I’ve said in the past, it seems like every time George Zimmerman or his family open their mouths, the lies just spill out.  Maybe they are pathological liars?

Anyway…this does NOT look good for his credibility in the Trayvon Martin shooting trial.  I wouldn’t believe anything the guy says.  And, in my opinion, in order for Zimmerman to prove self defense, he will have to take the stand.  The jurors shouldn’t believe a word coming out of his mouth.

It seems that every time Zimmerman or his family opens their mouths, the lies just spew out.  George Zimmerman had a website put up where his supporters could donate money to his defense.  When he and his family were questioned by the judge about their financial situation, they all (father, mother and wife testified UNDER OATH) claimed they were indigent.  They claimed they could not afford a large bond.  This information was taken into consideration when the judge set the amount of the bond.  The bond was set at $150,000 knowing that the family would have to come up with just $15,000 (10% of the bond amount).

What George Zimmerman AND his family failed to disclose is the fact that his “The Real George Zimmerman” website took in over $200,000 in donations.  This money was in a paypal account for Mr. Zimmerman to use.  This fact would have weighed heavily on the amount of bond set by the court.

At that point, the family had already used a portion of this money (they say a small portion) for “living expenses” so they knew about, and had access to the fund.  Yet, they still said nothing to the judge.

This reminds me of the woman who won the lottery and continued to collect welfare because she had no job.

What is it with this family?  Are they a family full of pathological liars?

What are the options at this point?  Well…the judge basically has 3 options.

1.  He can revoke the bond all together.  I don’t think he will do this because Zimmerman is entitled to bond in this case according to the law.

2.  He can raise the bond.  I think this is what the judge will most likely do.  He set the bond based on testimony under oath that was untrue.

3.  He can leave the bond as it is.  It is entirely possible that the judge may choose this option as Zimmerman is already out on bond, however, this case is so high profile that I don’t think he will choose this option.  I could be wrong, but…

The more I hear about this case, the more I am thinking about these charges that were placed on George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin shooting case.    There are a lot of people who say Zimmerman was overcharged.

Let’s look at the definition of second degree murder.

second degree murder n. a non-premeditated killing, resulting from an assault in which death of the victim was a distinct possibility.

Unlike first degree murder, second degree murder does not require premeditation.

So, what will the prosecution have to prove?

First, they will have to prove that there was an assault.  It really does not matter who confronted whom.  The 911 call with Trayvon wailing for help proves that Trayvon was being assaulted at that point.  You don’t wail like that if you are the one doing the assaulting.  George Zimmerman attempted to claim it was he who was wailing for help, however, two expert voice analysts disagree.  They say it is not possibly Zimmerman’s voice.

Second, they will have to prove that the death of the victim was a distinct possibility.  When the gun was pulled out and the trigger was pulled by Zimmerman (which is not in dispute), the death of the victim was a distinct possibility.

Basically that is all the prosecution has to prove to convince a jury to convict Mr. Zimmerman of second degree murder.

In conclusion, it is my opinion that the prosecution did not overcharge George Zimmerman.  Had they charged him with FIRST degree murder, that would be an over charge.  But, second degree seems appropriate in my opinion.

George Zimmerman was released on $150,000 bond at approximately midnight last night.  What are your thoughts on this?

I don’t think there’s really any reason he shouldn’t be allowed bond like any other person.  I am NOT a George Zimmerman supporter.  My thoughts are that he is a liar and a very dishonest person.  So far he has been caught in too many lies.  What lies?  Here is a partial list:

Zimmerman claimed HE was the voice screaming for help on the 911 call.  That was a LIE  – TWO, not one, but TWO independent voice analysts said that the voice screaming for help was NOT GEORGE ZIMMERMAN.

Zimmerman (in his “apology” to Trayvon’s parents) claimed that he did not know Trayvon was a teen.  He claimed he thought Trayvon was “a little younger than me”.  That was a LIE – In the original 911 call, Zimmerman called Trayvon a “teenager” and a “kid” on at least 3 occasions.

Zimmerman claimed his head was being “bashed into the concrete”.  That was a LIE – See post at http://roxannegreen.com/647/george-zimmermans-bloody-head/

Zimmerman claimed that he shot Trayvon because Trayvon Martin was “going for my gun”.  Then, in the “apology” he said “I didn’t know whether he was armed or not”.

Zimmerman told the 911 operator that Trayvon was running away from him.  He then said (VERY CLEARLY) “These assholes. They always get away.”  Then you hear the ding of the vehicle door and the heavy breathing starts where Zimmerman is clearly CHASING Trayvon.

Zimmerman said Trayvon circled back and came after him.  Interesting…Zimmerman was pissed that Trayvon was running away and he began to chase.  Then, he took off after Trayvon.  When the 911 operator asked him if the police should meet him at his truck, it is apparent that George Zimmerman had no intentions of stopping chasing Trayvon because he said “Could you have them call me and I’ll tell them where I’m at?” IN MY OPINION, he fully intended to go after Trayvon.

I don’t think that Zimmerman’s account is correct.  I don’t think there is any way that Trayvon “circled back” and came after him.  Here’s why.  The 911 call proves that Trayvon was running AWAY from Zimmerman.  NOT toward him. Look at where he was first seen by Zimmerman and where he was found dead.  MAP IT.  The locations are there.  It makes no sense.  Zimmerman got out of his vehicle near 1111 Retreat View Circle, Sanford FL.  (Um, if they come in through the uh gate, tell them to go straight past the clubhouse and, uh, straight past the clubhouse and make a left and then go past the mailboxes you’ll see my truck.)  Trayvon was found DEAD behind a building at 1231 Twin Trees Lane

Do I think Zimmerman is guilty?  I think that this was a horrible tragedy.  I think that it was an altercation that went horribly wrong.  What I DO know is that if George Zimmerman had stayed in his darn truck and had not acted like a policeman wannabe, that boy would still be alive.  I think (based on Zimmerman’s lies so far) that he confronted Trayvon and they scuffled.  I think George Zimmerman got scared thinking this could be an armed teen and shot without thinking.  I do not think it was murder, but I do, however, think it was manslaughter.  It’s very sad.  All of the lies he is coming up with now are making him look more guilty.  His lawyers need to keep his mouth shut because every time it opens, more lies spew out.

I am curious to see the records that will hopefully be released to the public in this case.
