This is a case of a few bad apples spoiling the bunch. YOU know who you are. If you have no clue what this post is about, then it’s not directed at you. These crybabies are the reason why our industry has a bad name. These crybabies are the reason people leave our team. They are the reason why it is such a struggle for those of us who truly wish to help others.

To the crybabies I say “GET A LIFE!!!” I have done nothing but help my fellow team members. Unfortunately, because of these few “bad apples” I will no longer be able to do that. I will no longer be available to anyone who is not on my team. I have always prided myself on helping anyone who needs help. No matter where they are in our organization. I have always been there to give guidance and assistance when asked for it. Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to do that. I have been accused by more than one person of cross line recruiting attempts.

Just for the record - I am not a paid member of Oprius so I do not get any monetary benefit if anyone signs up through the link on my blog. I simply put the link there because it is a program that I felt my team members could benefit from. I use a different program that many team members were introduced to, but very few could figure out how to use. Instead of recommending a program that is not friendly to someone who doesn’t know a lot about using a computer, I decided to recommend a program that is much simpler and comes with video tutorials.

The only other affiliate link is for Flowdreaming. Believe me, I will not get rich off 3% of anything on that site. I just wanted to share what I thought was a great program. And for the record - the “rotten apples” out there could REALLY use the flowdreaming information.

Now, to all of the “rotten apples” out there - GO AWAY!!! You are not welcome here. YOU are the reason this industry has a bad name. YOU are the reason that people leave our team. YOU are the reason why people do not like to reach sideline to anyone and offer assistance. YOU are the reason that I (regretfully) have decided that I will no longer reach sideline to help anyone.

My deepest sympathy to those who may be hurt by the behavior of the “rotten apples” who choose to sling accusations around instead of finding out the real story!!!

Do people really not realize this? If you want to use someone as an example, you can tell a story without saying who the person is that you are referencing. Especially when that person has just left the group and has friends still present. But even if there are no friends present, you still look bad.

If you feel like trashing someone or telling stories about them to prove some point, tell a generic story without names and distinguishing facts or keep your mouth shut. It’s the polite thing to do.

A work at home BUSINESS (AKA Home Based Business) is a little different. With a work at home business, you control your hours, output and method of doing the business. If you’re one of the lucky ones, you will have a team of people who will help you decide the methods, but it is still up to you to be self motivated enough to do the work. You spend time in the beginning building your business. During this time, you may not make a whole lot of money. It’s entirely dependent on how much time, effort and sometimes money you put into it. Once you’ve built it, you get paid what we call recurring income. Recurring income means that you do the work right one time and get paid over and over again. I’ll show you how that works in a bit.

Everybody knows that work at home scams are running rampant. There are a lot of them out there. Unfortunately, that makes it hard for the legitimate business opportunities. You probably know someone who has, at some point, either tried a home business or knows someone who has tried a home business and lost money. Most of these scams will be easy to spot. They try to tell you any number of things to get you to join. Here are a few of my favorites:

• It’s easy - anyone can do it.
• You can quit your job and work from home
• Sign up, we do all of the work for you and you make money

BS!!! Having your own home based business is NOT easy!! The payoff a few years down the road is amazing, however ONLY IF you work hard for 1-3 years to build your foundation. Plan on putting time, money and effort into your home based business. It’s your business. If you opened a shore store, would you realistically expect to just sit back and watch customers come in and buy shoes all day with no help from you? No advertising? No assistance? No one to open the store and close the store and man the cash registers? That’s a little ridiculous, don’t you think? Just as ridiculous as expecting to sign up with a company and start your own home based business with the intention of sitting back, living the good life while watching the money roll in. Come on!! Let’s get real. It does NOT work that way.

Too many people start a home based business and are told they will have “time freedom and money freedom”. This will happen - EVENTUALLY - IF you put time and effort into it FIRST.

It’s not your fault you might think a home business is easy. It’s not your fault you might think that it’s just a matter of “having” your own home business instead of actually “working” your own home business. Look at all of the ads on the internet and the commercials on TV for home based businesses. These ads are called “lead capture ads”. What happens is this - you respond to one of these ads. You fill out your information and expect to hear back from one person about this great home based business you saw. NOT!! In reality, you fill out your information and have now given your name, email address, mailing address and phone number to a bunch of people who will buy your information and try to hype you into spending hundreds or even THOUSANDS of dollars on their latest “deal”. And their good. They make it sound like you really need to spend THOUSANDS to have your own home business.

Now, don’t get me wrong - there are start up costs to having your own home based business. These start up costs shouldn’t run more than $500 or so. You should not have to spend thousands of dollars to start a home based business.

If you do not have a source of income now, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you start a home based business. This is where a lot of people get scammed. Remember that I said you have to work hard for 1-3 years and then reap the rewards? Well…you need an income in the meantime. If you are told any different, you are being lied to. Big, fat, unscrupulous lies. And it’s not the fault of the people telling you the lies either. THEY, themselves, don’t know they are spreading these lies until they are already “in” and it’s too late for the lies to stop. If they stop spreading them now, others will know they lied. So they just quit. They give up and take the loss of thousands of dollars. After all, no one wants to admit they were gullible enough to be swindled, right? It’s NOT YOUR FAULT!!

The ENTIRE nation was focused on Barack Obama. I saw something very interesting during this campaign process. McCain, Palin and their supporters were focused on Obama. Obama and his supporters were focused on Obama. This, my friends, is called the Law of Attraction. What we focus on expands. We get more of what we focus on.

John McCain’s campaign managers obviously have never heard of the Law of Attraction. (Read more of my thoughts on the Law of Attraction here) I watched what was going on with this election. It was like watching a train wreck. You see it coming, but there’s nothing you can do to stop it or slow it down. You try to warn the train conductor, but he can’t hear you. You know the train is going to hit the car that has died on the tracks.

I want you to understand that this post is not about McCain, Palin, Obama or Biden as much as it is about how the world works. How we manifest things into our lives. How what we focus on (good or bad) expands.

As I was out there on the internet and in local places and reading emails and watching the debates I saw it. I saw what was happening. See the focus of this campaign process - Barack Obama.

For the most part, McCain supporters HATE Obama (focus - Obama). For the most part, Obama supporters LOVE Obama (focus - Obama). Emails poured in claiming all kinds of false accusations against Obama (focus - Obama). I watched John McCain sit at a debate and lie outright about Obama. Did Obama lie too? ABSOLUTELY!! After each debate, there were experts who went through EVERYTHING that was said. They put analysis’s up on the internet FOR ALL TO SEE if they wanted. However, McCain focused on what he thought Obama couldn’t or wouldn’t do (focus - Obama) and Obama focused on what Obama would do (focus - Obama).

The Law of Attraction is NOT “sit in a fairytale world and pretend all is wonderful”. It IS, however, recognizing and realizing what you are focusing on. If you have a negative thought you will not bring the house down around you. But…if your main focus is on bad things, you will get more of that. If you find yourself thinking things like:

The economy is sssoooo bad
I have such bad luck
How much worse can it get?
My life sucks
Things never work out for me
I’m so broke
The bills are piling up and I can’t pay them

That is exactly what you will get more of. It’s been PROVEN. You can’t deny it.

Story #1 - Barack Obama wants to change the flag because he changed the flag on his plane.

The flag originally on his plane was the North American Airlines LOGO - once he became a Presidential candidate, he could no longer use their logo. He replaced the tail flag with his logo and replaced the North American Logo with the American flag by the plane numbers.

There are quite a few people whom I USED TO consider to be pretty smart people that are spreading these lies and more. We are NOT going to become a socialist nation if one individual gets to be president. Haven’t people ever heard of impeachment and checks and balances???? Go back to elementary school. We are a democracy and always will be.

I don’t give a hoot WHO you vote for. Just make sure on election day you are making and INFORMED and EDUCATED decision. Don’t make it based on crap being spread around in emails and on the internet. Go do the research yourself. FactCheck. org and Snopes. com are two unbiased sites that simply report the facts and have been doing that for a long time. Go there and get the real stories. THEN make a decision. Stop being a blind follower. If you are reading this, you have internet access. There is NO REASON for you to not do a little research and find out the TRUTH about both candidates. Grow up and be adult and stop the mudslinging. We get enough of that from the candidates who want to run our country.

If Obama gets elected, you can thank all of the McCain supporters who are slandering Obama. This is the year 2008 and anyone with a computer can look up the FACTS for themselves and see that McCain and his supporters are lying. THAT is why he’s losing in the poles. That is why I have no idea if I can stomach voting for a man who will not even think twice before he stands up in front of God and the whole country and LIES about his opponent.

This is surely one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. BUT, my decision will be based on FACTS, NOT LIES. Please let yours be too.

If the slander keeps up, thank everyone passing along this junk. They, along with McCain and Palin, will be the reason Obama becomes the next president of the United States.

Yup - A picture IS worth a thousand words.

This is a rare photo of my teenagers getting along. Or at least my son attempting to tolerate his “little sister”.

They are 11 months apart. They are the same age for 13 days so you can imagine how that goes. All I hear for that 13 days is my daughter saying to my son “I’m the same age as you!!!”

These two are my life. They are my inspiration. Right now they are both in NY (we moved to KY from NY about a year and a half ago). Katie is visiting and it looks like Mike is staying. He has a job up there doing sandblasting and is loving it. He’s 17 now and she’s 16. They were both homeschooled most of their high school life. They didn’t fit into the little box that the schools create for the “perfect student”. As a matter of fact - thank goodness that box wasn’t around when I went to school or I wouldn’t have fit either. They are both WAY outside the box. But they are great kids and are going to make a couple pretty awesome adults.

They are the reason I work from home. I wanted to be the major influence in their lives. Selfish? Maybe. But they know they can come to me with anything no matter what it is. Sometimes they share things that I don’t want to hear, but I’m glad they feel comfortable enough with me to share them. But at the same time, we’ve got a balance. They know I’m MOM and I will put my foot down if need be.
