HI - Nice to see you again. Have you sent any greeting cards recently?

If you have no clue who Susan Boyle of Britain’s Got Talent is, visit here and watch the video before you read any further.

I first saw youtube video (the one mentioned above) of Susan Boyle on Britain’s Got Talent about a week ago.  I cried.  I was in awe.  I was amazed.  I was MOVED.

Everything that I teach hinges on building relationships with people.  How else (other than a TV show like this) can you truly find out what someone’s talent is?  Oh sure, Susan Boyle had her karaoke bar where she sang and she had sung in a few places before.  But…the world didn’t know who she was.

I think the thing that has astonished me more than Susan Boyle’s performance is Piers Morgan.  Piers is not my favorite person.  Before last season’s Celebrity Apprentice, I had no clue who Piers Morgan was.  And, of course, I was rooting for Trace Adkins to win.  My view of Piers was that he’s a callous, crass, obnoxious jerk.  He was rude.  He was mean.  He was nasty.   I couldn’t imagine how in the world someone like Piers could raise the money for charity that he did on that show.  How can someone who is as obnoxious as Piers have friends?

It’s very evident to me now that I had no clue who Piers Morgan is.   I am amazed at all of the kind words I’ve heard Piers say about Susan Boyle.  He seems genuine.  We all know that Piers isn’t one to “sugar coat” things.  He proved that when he won Celebrity Apprentice.  But, here he is gushing over and apologizing profusely to Susan Boyle.  Amazing!!

Just like I first judged Susan Boyle by her physical appearance, I judged Piers by his appearance on a show.  Susan and Piers, I doubt either of you will ever read this, but I sincerely apologize.

What do you think of the new attitude of Piers Morgan?  Is it for real?  Or does he just see dollar signs?

Let us know what you think.  Leave a comment!!

Great Tasting Diet Cookie?

shakes_cookiesI remember when I first heard of the diet cookies that my company was coming out with. I was kind of scared. I had tried diet cookies before and they tasted like a lightly flavored piece of cardboard would probably taste. Have you ever smelled cardboard? You can just imagine what it would taste like.

And don’t even get me started on the diet shakes that taste like sawdust. Yes – I do know what sawdust tastes like. I grew up on a farm. We would saw trees down and cut them up with a chainsaw. Anyone whose ever sawed wood knows that more than once you WILL end up with sawdust in your mouth. It’s inevitable.

You can see that I was skeptical when I heard the phrase “great tasting diet cookies and shakes”. But, I’ll try most anything once. So I decided to see if these things actually tasted good. I tried the oatmeal raising cookie first. That’s the only flavor Vitamark had at the time. Those were OK compared to most diet cookies. I’m not, however, an oatmeal raisin fan.

The company made another announcement that made me a very happy camper. They were coming out with a chocolate chip diet cookie. Chocolate chip cookies and dieting are not normally something that go together. This, however, was a great combination. The cookies actually taste like chocolate chip cookies. I was amazed.

And the shakes – well – they are the absolute BEST diet shakes I’ve ever had. They actually taste more like milkshakes than diet shakes. I use soy milk to make them for the added protein, however, they do taste great with just water too.

Check out the cookies & shakes here.
