I’ve been doing a weight loss system called Shrink It for the past year or so. I knew that all of my clothes were looser, but I didn’t know how much. I do NOT weigh myself so I have no idea how much weight I’ve actually lost. I stopped weighing myself when the scale topped out at 320 lbs. I know I was much heavier than that.

A friend commented when she saw a video I made recently. I put the video here on my blog and she compared it with the photo in the sidebar.

Now, mind you, there are no full body shots of me before so I can’t give you a body comparison. You can, however, see the photo on the side and a still shot taken from the video my friend saw.

Notice that I only have 1 1/2 chins now instead of 2 huge ones. You can see the video HERE if you have any doubt. And the photo is in my sidebar. (I guess it’s time to update my photos because I use the one in my sidebar all over the internet.)

I went to a local department store today and was in the cosmetics aisle. As I was looking for something I noticed that the “cheap” makeup was fully stocked on the shelves and the “expensive” makeup was almost gone. I asked a sales lady if they have decided to stop carrying the “expensive” makeup.

She replied “No – actually we sell just as much as we always have. We thought that we’d sell less with the bad economy but that’s not the case. We’ve got more on order.”

HHHMMM…I then decided to notice a few more things. I looked around at what people were buying. Expensive shoes, expensive clothing, and other things that really weren’t needs but wants.

My husband and I then took a drive around town. We wanted to stop somewhere for breakfast. Everywhere we went had a LINE waiting to be seated. Now, mind you, these were NOT fast food restaurants where a meal is less than $10. These were places where a meal and drink will cost you a little more than $10 per person. Not expensive by any means, but a family of 4 would be an easy $50 with meals, drinks and tip.

There were lines EVERYWHERE. We went to eight different restaurants and they all had lines and waits to be seated. We drove by two places and didn’t even attempt to go see what the lines looked like because they had people waiting OUTSIDE in the cold to get in and eat. You could see the tables filled with parties of 3, 4, 5 and even 6 people. These were families. Parent and kids.

I see people every day spending money online. Money on things they WANT. If the economy was as bad as people are claiming, there would not be this many people spending money on wants. They would be focused only on their needs.

What you focus on expands. Where is YOUR focus??

I did not think putting together a home study course for blogging would be this much fun. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also fun and rewarding. There are a lot of people who are starting to get targeted traffic to their blogs and building lists of opt in subscribers using the methods I’m teaching them. Some have even started making money already!!! I love it!!!
