Some Battles Just Aren’t Worth Fighting

HI - Nice to see you again. Have you sent any greeting cards recently?

custom greeting cards

Sometimes we come up against what we perceive to be obstacles or injustices in our lives.  That happened to me yesterday.  However, most of the time, these obstacles or injustices end up being a good thing.

It’s easy to get blinded by the hurt we feel when we’ve been wronged by someone.  I was blinded yesterday and posted a post that in my mind was defending myself against what this person had done to me. (I have since removed that post because this battle isn’t worth fighting. The truth will win out.)  In reality, it just gave his faithful followers fuel to call me the bad guy and gave those who have the good fortune to see the cracks in his armor the courage to pick up the phone and call.  The latter was a good thing.  I realized that I have many more supporters and friends than those who actually believe this person.

Thank you to those of you who have sent emails and made calls of support.   I appreciate you!!

Work From Home – In Your Pajamas?

You’ve seen it and / or heard it.  Work from home in your pajamas.  Isn’t that the “dream job”?

I thought so.  But it wasn’t true.

When you work from home and wear your pajamas, lounge wear, etc… it puts you in the mindset to relax, sleep and lounge around.  Not in the mindset to work.  It’s nice at first.  Grab the laptop and lounge on the couch “working”.  Then you get sucked into the trap of relaxing, watching TV, surfing the internet, playing games and everything that pajamas and lounge wear promote.

I’ve found that when I get up and get dressed as if I’m going to a J.O.B., I am more productive.  I get more done.  Not to mention, now many people have skype and want to do video chats.  How can you do a video chat when you’re in lounge around mode?  How can you be productive in lounge around mode?  You can’t.  No one will take you seriously.  More important…you won’t take YOURSELF seriously.

A few people have said “Well…if I’m going to get dressed as if I’m going to a J.O.B., I might as well have a J.O.B.”  My answer – “If that’s what you want, go for it.  My daily commute is 2 seconds from the bathroom or bedroom to my office.  I get to take a break when I want, and eat lunch whenever I’m hungry, not when a boss tells me I can.  I also get to be here if my kids need me for something.”

If you work from home and are wearing your pajamas or lounge wear every day and are not experiencing the success you deserve, try this – get up in the morning, take a shower and get dressed as if you were going to a J.O.B.   Do this for a week and see if your productivity rises.

YOU Deserve Success!!

This is SSSOOO Easy

When I was about 18 years old, I was introduced to an MLM company named Amway. I’m sure most people have heard of Amway at some point. I never really did much with that company, but the circles that rep drew that day made total sense to me. I remember it clearly. I had just gotten done work and met this guy at the diner down the street. At that point, I didn’t have much extra money and I had no clue who would be paying for anything so I made an excuse that I couldn’t stay long and could we just talk in the parking lot. That was when I got bit by the MLM bug.

He pulled out his pad of paper and drew circles representing me and people I know and/or meet. He explained about the power of leveraging the efforts of others. He explained how I could either get paid on 100% of my efforts or 10% of the efforts of 100 people. Which adds up to more? Of course the 10% of the efforts of 100 people.

From that point on, I knew that this would work. I never did much with Amway because I was never taught HOW to do it. I was just told to go do it. I’d talk to my friends and family and all of a sudden, they stopped answering my calls, stopped returning my calls and wouldn’t go out with me anymore. So I quit. This is what happens with a lot of people who join a network marketing company and have no system. They flounder around a bit, get discouraged and quit.

Over the next 20 years or so, I joined a few MLMs but it was all the same. I did not have any real success until about 6 years ago. I found a system that allowed me to build a descent income. I still wouldn’t talk to anyone I know about it. My next company/team had a great system in the beginning. The only downfall was that there was no system to introduce MLM to the average person who had never heard of it. The people I brought into my team were all in other companies and the system I was using “converted” them to my MLM. This was great, but I wanted to work with people who had never heard of MLM before. I wanted to have a system to help educate these people about what MLM really is.

I am happy to say that after all these years, I’ve finally found an easy, simple, 3 step system that anyone can use. My 17 year old daughter looked it over and said “Mom – as soon as I turn 18, I want to do this”. She HATES rejection. She won’t even call her father or grandmother because she’s afraid they won’t have time for her. This is a girl who would never speak to a stranger. SHE wants to use this system.

All I do is hand out business cards and if the person wants to know more, they go to a website and fill out a simple form (step one). They are then emailed a special report (step two). Once they’ve read that, they let me know and I contact them with my support coach on the line to answer any questions and give them step three.  After they go through steps one and two, I use another tool to introduce them to my company (step three). It’s so simple. I don’t have to pick and choose who I talk to. I don’t have to go after other network marketers. I can talk to ANYONE!! Doesn’t matter if they have done MLM or not.

I’ve been in the MLM / network marketing profession for years. I’ve looked at a lot of companies and a lot of systems. I was blown away when I saw this system and it’s simplicity. I have to catch myself sometimes and make sure I don’t over complicate things. There is absolutely no rejection, no explaining, nothing to remember. It really is something that almost anyone can do.

I’m having a BLAST with it!!! If you want to know more, simply check out step one above and fill out the form to get the special report.  If you want to go to step three, let me know.  If not, that’s OK too.  Simple.

I am the Emerging Butterfly

alarmclockistock

I’ve been listening to the wise radio show hosts over at Hay House Radio for the past couple years now.  A couple of things they all seems to agree on are:

1.  Remove yorself from any negative / toxic people, places and things.

2.  Trust your instinct.  Your “inner alarm” will go off if you are where you should not be.

My “inner alarm” has been buzzing for the past year or so and I’ve simply been hitting the snooze button.  But…as we all know…the snooze button just prolongs the inevitable and doesn’t get rid of the alarm or what we need to do once we pay attention to the alarm.

Now that I’ve identified a toxic situation and removed myself from it, I feel like a butterfly that’s been stuck in a cocoon for a long, long time.  I’m finally ready to FLY!!!  I will fly far above this mess and soar with grace just like a beautiful butterfly is meant to do.

I am FREE to soar!!!          purplebutterfly

Hypocrites on a Pedestal – What Would You Do?

What do you do when a mentor (whom you looked up to) goes against everything they have taught you?  Do you still look up to that person?  Is there any way possible that you can trust that person again?

When someone puts themselves on a pedestal and professes to “know it all”, they (in my opinion) better be ready to live up to what they teach or they will lose respect in a HUGE way as soon as they go against their teaching.  If you put yourself in a position to be coach, mentor, trusted advisor and expert, you have a standard to uphold.  People expect that you will “practice what you preach”.

In MLM, it’s easy for greed and ego to take over after you’ve achieved a certain level of status.  This is why you need to have an open mind when choosing an MLM mentor.  Network marketing breeds egomaniacs.  If you are going to make it big in network marketing as well as being an MLM trainer, you must be able to keep your ego in check.  You can NOT teach one thing and do another.

Who are you learning from?  Do you REALLY know your mentor, coach, teacher?

What would you do if you found out that your mentor was doing the very things that he or she has taught you are unethical?
