Empower Network’s New Viral Blogging System

Some of my readers have asked me what I think of the new ENv2 Empower Network Viral Blogging System.  I haven’t said much about the new blogging system because, frankly, there are major flaws in my opinion.

First, I will address the flaws.  Here is what I see:

  • System is not set up for the serious blogger
  • Public commenting not allowed on blogs at this time.
This is a huge part of what makes a blog a blog.  You must be able to interact with your readers.  If you have to make them go elsewhere (facebook, twitter, email, etc…) to comment on what you are writing about, you cut your interaction rate drastically.
  • HTML coding or WYSIWYG editor not allowed.
The only formatting allowed is bold, italics, underline and lists.  You are not able to have headings in the posts.  You are not able to add a form to a post.  You are not able to align images (left, centered, right).
  • There is NO “Save Draft” feature and the Empower Network website times out frequently.
This has caused MANY lost blog posts and LOTS of frustration among EN bloggers.
  • Very limited customization is allowed.
Only one sidebar banner, header and footer are customizable…or rather…exchangeable.  You can change out these banners with different banners, but are not allowed to add other “widgets” to the sidebar.  I always teach to have your contact info right on the sidebar because many people will not click on a contact page.  That is not allowed.  I also teach to add a tracking code (separate from Google Analytics, which is allowed) to the sidebar of your blog.  The sidebar should appear on every post and page, therefore, that tracking code will track where your visitor comes from, how long they stay on each page, what they click on, where they go, etc…  That is not possible with this blogging system the way it is at this time.  If you are promoting multiple things on your blog, you can’t add multiple banners (images) in the sidebar. This cuts down drastically on your income producing ability.
  • The mobile app only works on Apple devices or the most recent version of Android.
Older Android versions are not supported on the app.

These are just the major (BASIC) things that I feel every blogging platform should have or allow.  Until these things are fixed, I can not and WILL NOT promote the Empower Network (EN) Viral Blogging System (ENV2).

Now the good news:

If you are beginning blogging and want a blog that is optimized for the search engines, ENV2 is the way to go.  The blog is there, no bells and whistles, all set up for you.  You can either change out the 3 banners I referenced above (if you are promoting something other than EN) or leave the banners as they are (if you are going to be promoting EN) and begin blogging.

If you are using an iPhone, iPad, other Apple device or the latest version of Android, you can blog right from your phone.  Shoot a video and with one touch you can upload it to your blog.  This EN app truly gives new meaning to the terms “mobile blogging” and “mobile lifestyle”.

If you are wanting to learn internet marketing, the Empower Network Products are the best!  What you will learn (even with just the basic Viral Blogging System bonuses) is outstanding, solid content.

So…bottom line…YES…I am still promoting Empower Network.  Do I think you should join if you are a serious blogger?  YES.  Not for the blogging platform.  I rarely use it myself.  However, you should join for the PRODUCTS.  The information you will get from the products alone is worth ten times what your investment will be.

If you are ready to get going and start making some serious money (either by promoting EN products or your own opportunity), join my Empower team here.  (First see our income disclosure here)

TrafficWave.net visitor review

A little over a week ago, I decided to try a few different traffic sources because I like to see what I could best offer to my team if they want to use paid traffic.

One source I found was TrafficWave.net.  They claimed to deliver high quality visitors, not just traffic to your website.  I purchased 10,000 visitors as a test.  I wanted to see the rate of visitors as well as the quality of them.

According to their website, they say traffic may be slow at the start of a campaign, however, I didn’t expect a snail’s pace here.  I got a whole 12 visitors the first day, 11 the second day and, over the next week, averaged 15 visitors per day.    They are trickling in and only a miniscule amount are from the US or Canada.  The “visitors” they are delivering are HORRIBLE.  According to my website stats, they are bouncing on the page and off within seconds like they would from a surf exchange.

After a week of this, I emailed to ask for a refund.   I was told that all visitors WILL be delivered and I could not request a refund yet.  Here is their refund policy:

REFUNDS:

In the unlikely event that number of visitors ordered is not able to be delivered, Buyer may claim a pro-rata refund. In cases where refunds are claimed, we reserve the right to require proof that the proper number of visitors were not delivered. Stats, data and other information from third party counters are not sufficient to establish a claim. These counting systems tend to yield an improper count. If TrafficWave.net LLC disputes Buyer’s claim, Buyer must provide TrafficWave.net LLC with RAW server logs from the site and time period in question as this is the only reliable method of counting a visitor.

I am now wondering how long I have to wait before requesting said refund.  At this pace (I’m generously averaging 20 visitors per day for calculation purposes) it will take OVER FIVE HUNDRED DAYS for them to deliver all 10,000 visitors!!  I wonder if they are aware that’s well over a YEAR!!

TrafficWave.net is also an autoresponder provider.  Maybe they are better at that, I don’t know, but they are a terrible source of paid traffic and I would not recommend anyone waste their money on them.

*** UPDATE:  From August 21 to August 31 – 10 days – a whole 121 visitors!!!  WOOO HOOO…we are rocking now!!  Seriously…if you are thinking of buying traffic from these people, THINK AGAIN!!  They are averaging 12 visitors per day so it will take over 833 days (Well over 2 years) to deliver 10,000.  That is CRAZY!!!!  ***

Do You REALLY Have to Spend Money to Make Money?

Those of you who know me know that I think most of what is online is scams.  I am NOT impressed by a lot.  And I am a firm believer in not spending much money to make money, which is why I keep my courses priced low.

A few days ago I stumbled across something that blew my mind.

A brilliant online marketer started an online contest.  He gives people everything they need to make money online.  Step by step, day by day instructions, resources, sales copy, everything you need to be successful.  And he’s NOT CHARGING FOR IT until after you start making money.

WHAT??

Who would do such a thing?  Who would give away a huge coaching program and allow people to use it for 30 full days and begin making money BEFORE they paid?

Someone who has an amazing program and a proven track record at helping people make money online. It’s brilliant.

And the best part…this program will work for anyone whether you are a newbie or seasoned marketer.  I teach marketing and I’m learning a lot!!

If you want access to the same thing I’ve found, fill out the form below then after you confirm your interest, you will be able to hear from this marketing genius himself and decide whether you want to take advantage of this amazing offer.  If nothing else, take advantage of the offer for the 30 days of great coaching and resources.

Is Social Spark a Scam?

I haven’t completely figured that out yet, but I’m working on it for you.  SocialSpark is a company that matches bloggers with advertisers.  Advertisers have products or services that they want to get the word out about.  They go to Social Spark to find bloggers who will review their products and/or services and get matched up. The blogger writes a review, gives SocialSpark permission to post it to their blog and they review it and post it.  The blogger gets paid a pre-determined amount for the post.

One HUGE problem that I see is they use Google Analytics to make the determination of which and how many offers the blogger gets.  As you may know, I do NOT like Google Analytics.  My visitor rankings are way higher than GA puts them at.  At the time of writing this post, my PR is 2.  It’s not easy to get to a PR2.  I write a post and within minutes it is indexed in the search engines.

I’ve been signed up for SocialSpark for over a week or so and have referred two bloggers to them but have received NO offers.  Supposedly offers come in on a daily basis.  But…the advertiser does not choose the blogger, Social Spark does.  And they do not take the entire picture into consideration when making you offers.  I’d hold off on this one for a bit.  It can be frustrating if you are counting on getting paid in the near future for writing blog posts.

There are many other ways to make money with your blog.  Don’t do this one unless you are an established blogger and just want to try something different like I’m doing.

UPDATE – Unless you are the type of person who likes to sit around, do nothing and NOT make money, do not get involved with SocialSpark. They have visited my blog via numerous google searches and KNOW that I can write a post and have it indexed ON PAGE ONE in google search results in a matter of minutes and STILL will not give me offers because they are too dependent on something that does not work properly (Google Analytics).

UPDATE 2 – It’s been a little over a month since I joined Social Spark and they are STILL not giving me offers.  Why?  Because they are depending on Google Analytics to tell them how good my blog is.  LOL…that’s a JOKE.  You most likely found this post because you did a search for information about Social Spark.  It’s on page ONE of the search results in google and has been since about 12 minutes after I wrote the post.  BUT…I still get no offers.  I don’t think they are a scam per se, but they are not a good company to try to make money with.  That’s MY opinion.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life. What will you do with it?
