bullet Get Your Freedom Pack Today
Tuesday September 16th 2008, 1:16 am

Do you know the difference between linear and recurring (residual) income?

LINEAR - This is probably the type of income you receive right now. You trade hours for dollars. Even surgeons make linear income. If they stop working the income STOPS.

RECURRING (RESIDUAL or ROYALTY) - This is the type of income that we all want. With this type of income, you do the work right ONE TIME and get paid over and over. Just like JK Rowling (author of the Harry Potter books). She wrote some great books (all it takes is one) and gets paid over and over every time one of them sells. Michael Jordan gets paid every time one of his commercials is on the TV. He doesn’t have to physically be there each time. Lisa Marie Presley receives royalty income from her dad’s (Elvis) music. He did the work right one time.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Which type of income would you prefer?

If you would prefer recurring (residual or royalty) income, but can’t sing, play basketball or write books, that’s OK. I will show you how to generate that type of income.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

For a limited time, I’m giving away a Freedom Pack (just pay a small shipping & handling fee). When you are done reading this information, you will know for sure how you can create that royalty income like JK Rowling, Elvis and Michael Jordan

With this pack, you can create $100s or $1000s or even $10,000s of royalty income a week. Just hand out the Freedom Pack. You can get it at WorkWithRoxanne.com

bullet Another Customer Service Nightmare…
Sunday September 14th 2008, 7:37 pm

I will NEVER recommend or buy another HP product.

The other day, my Canon printer (that I’ve had for years) died. Now, Canon has the most expensive ink out there, so I decided to look for something different. I go to the local office supply store and the clerk there recommends an HP printer. Says it will last forever compared to everything else out there.

I buy an HP printer, bring it home and hook it up using the disk that came with it to install it.

Documents print fine, however, when I go to use my program that I print stamps and labels from, it does not work. The paper feeds through, but nothing prints. I’ve been using this same program for 2 years so I know the program works fine. The only variable at this point is the HP printer, so I call HP technical support. I get a very nice lady who tells me that I have the incorrect drivers for the printer. She gives me the website where I can get the correct drivers. I ask why the incorrect drivers would be in the box with this printer and she has no clue. She does tell me, however, that her shift is ending and she can’t continue to help me. She says she will have someone call me back within the hour (by this time it’s almost 10 pm on Friday night) to see if the printer is working properly with the correct drivers.

11 pm Friday night and no call back from HP tech support, so I call them back. I give them my service ticket number and tell them that the printer is still not printing from that program. The guy says “So call them. It’s not our problem”. WHAT????? I say to him “But, the ONLY variable here is your HP printer. The program has worked fine for the past 2 years with the Canon printer” He says “Too bad. There’s nothing I can do for you”.

Well…I don’t just sit back for that type of customer service so I ask to speak with his manager. I explain that he’s rude and there has to be SOMETHING they can do because it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if the program worked fine with a different printer and now doesn’t work with the HP printer, the problem has to be that the printer is not understanding what the program is sending to it. The supervisor says “That’s right. So it’s the program’s fault that it can’t give the proper instructions to the printer”. HELLO???? This guy must have had wax build up in his ears or rocks in his head. I said “Are you telling me that you are willing to give up a customer just like that because you won’t even ATTEMPT to troubleshoot this with me?” and he says “We don’t need you as a customer if you can’t understand that it’s not our problem.”

Now, where I was brought up, the customer is ALWAYS right. You do whatever you can to make the customer happy. These nitwits didn’t even attempt to appease me. They just stuck to the whole “it’s not our fault” thing.

Needless to say, first thing Saturday morning, I took the HP crap back to the store and ended up buying a Dell printer. It cost a little more, but I didn’t care at that point. I get it home, install it (with the disk that came with it) and VOILA! it worked in all of my programs.

After doing a little research I managed to ascertain that HP is the ONLY printer that does not work with this particular program. HP is also the ONLY printer that does not work with a LOT of software.

Bottom line - if you’re only printing from Microsoft Word, get an HP. If you are going to use any other programs that need to have text printed in a certain area, DON’T GET AN HP PRINTER!!! In addition to them not working properly, their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired.

The customer is definitely NOT right at HP.

bullet What is Network Marketing
Monday September 08th 2008, 11:20 am

What exactly is MLM / Network Marketing?

Some people have a bad view of MLM / Network Marketing / Multi-level marketing. Network Marketing is not bad. Some companies are bad and some “opportunities” are bad, but network marketing is not bad.

Network marketing is a form of distribution.

In traditional distribution, a company has lots of costs associated with getting their products to the end consumer. They pay to manufacture the product. They then have to pay agents, advertisers, wholesalers, national distributors, regional distributors and retailers to get that product to the end consumer.

In MLM / Network Marketing, the company must still manufacture the product, however, the distributors act as the agent, advertiser, wholesaler, national distributor and regional distributor. Advertising is done by the distributors.

If a product sells for $1.10 to the end consumer and costs $0.10 to manufacture, in traditional distribution, the other $1.00 gets split between all of the others involved in getting that product to the end consumer. In MLM / Network Marketing, that $1.00 gets split only between the distributor and the company.

Now, let’s take a look at some MLM companies and see why the company seems to be making money, but not the distributors. Some company owners opt to have huge office buildings, lots of employees, private jets, gold faucets in the lavatories, and a lot of other “status symbols”. With these things come overhead. There is a cost to purchasing and maintaining all of these things. In this type of company, the company takes more of that $1 and gives less to the distributors so they can cover their overhead. Most of the time, distributors in this type of company need up to 3,000 customers and distributors in their group to make $10,000/mo.

Now let’s look at a streamlined MLM company. In this type of company, there is no huge building, only a few employees and the company owners fly commercial airlines just like the rest of us. These company owners know that by streamlining and renting a small office space, they can make more AND pay us (the distributors) more. In this type of company, distributors need less than 1,000 (many times less than 500) customers and distributors in their group to make $10,000/mo.

Can an established MLM company that already has all of the overhead ever be streamlined? Most likely not. The only companies that can be streamlined and pay distributors more are companies that were specifically set up to be streamlined companies.

If you’re looking for a streamlined company, feel free to contact me.

bullet Oprius
Saturday August 23rd 2008, 1:57 am

I have searched high and low for a contact manager that is user friendly. I am a firm believer that EVERYTHING I do or promote must be duplicatable. In order for a contact manager to be duplicatable, it must be simple enough for a novice to use. As many of you know, I’m kind of a techy when it comes to these things, so it’s not always easy for me to know what is a good product for everyone. Things that are easy for me are not always so easy for others.

I have been using (and probably will continue to use) Chaos !ntellect. I love Chaos (the software, not the other thing).

However, Chaos is not easy for the novice to use. It has a few “glitches” that not everyone can figure out how to work around like I can. I’ve recommended Chaos to quite a few people who gave up on it.

Today I received an email from a friend who received an email from a friend. The friend recommended something called Oprius. Oprius is an online contact manager, email service, autoresponder, appointment minder, task manger, etc… I signed up for the free trial. WOW - It is so simple!! Clean, easy to use website with everything spelled out very clearly for you. I like it.

Oprius is something that I can recommend to anyone. Not just computer savvy people. KUDOS to the creators of this. And for only $14.99/mo, it’s a steal.

I highly recommend this contact manager to anyone and everyone.

bullet Where has customer service gone?
Thursday August 07th 2008, 10:07 am

In the past two weeks I made online purchases from two different companies that had horrible customer service.

Well…one I attempted to make a purchase from, but since I was making the purchase for my aunt and had previously used my credit card with a different shipping address, this company’s error message said I could not use my card for a second account. I figured - OK - I’ll just change the shipping address. That didn’t work. There was a glitch in the site that took the Order Now button away when I changed the shipping address. So I called the company. Their phone message was:

“We’re sorry, but no one is available to take your call. Please refer to our extensive help section at ABC.com or email support@ABC.com”

Well…that poses a slight problem because there is NO HELP SECTION at that site. But - OK - I can email support. I emailed a detailed explanation of the problem and asked what I could do to get this product ordered for my aunt and the answer was:

“Hello,

Yes, we are sorry, our system will allow a credit card to be used only once.
Have an awesome day,
Support”

WHAT??? This did not tell me how I could purchase their product for my aunt. I again attempted phone support. No luck there, but I did leave a detailed message. I then replied to support’s email. I explained that they did not answer the question and please let me know how I can get this product ordered to be shipped to my aunt. Here’s their answer:

“Currently, we don’t have a way for multiple shipping addresses or credit cards to be attached to the same account. The best way to order product for your aunt will be to sign her up as a customer at ABC.com by clicking the “Order Now” link.

Have an awesome day,
Support “

THIS was what I was trying to do in the first place and the system wouldn’t let me because I was already a customer with my credit card. Do they not know how to read? My guess is that they just don’t want to take the TIME to read. However, in the meantime, they upset a current customer and were going to lose other customers. My aunt knows a LOT of people who would like to order this product. This company was so self absorbed that they just didn’t care about ONE potential customer. HOWEVER…one could turn into hundreds once word of mouth about the product takes over. The product is THAT good.

Unfortunately, it seems companies either focus on product OR focus on great service. Why can’t they do both? This particular company says that in order for them to keep their costs down, they don’t have physical offices. GREAT - but you need SOME KIND of offices. Hire someone to answer the phones from their home. They can at least take messages and keep customers happy that their concerns are being addressed.

I don’t care how good a product is, if customers can’t order it and have it shipped WHEREVER THEY WANT, or if they have to jump through hoops to order, they will be gone and will not order at all. It’s sad that companies don’t or can’t see that. I just don’t understand how customer service has managed to take such a nosedive in the past 10 - 15 years. It’s amazing.

Bottom line - if you are running a company, a home based business, whatever - you MUST be available to help people. Either by phone or email or both. When someone emails with a problem, read the entire email before you respond or you may end up looking like an idiot.

The customer is ALWAYS right and if you treat them like they are not, they will not do business with you again. And they may blog about it or tell all of their online friends AND offline friends. Bad word of mouth spreads like wildfire.

Make it a great day!! YOU Deserve Success!!

bullet YouHide.com
Saturday July 05th 2008, 7:01 pm

Did you know that you can’t hide behind a proxy when revisiting a site? I recently had an incident with someone who visits here and claim she doesn’t. She thought if she went to youhide.com it would hide her IP address. NOT without clearing your cookies first or refreshing your IP address. But then it would still show the same ISP. I guess you could get a new ISP for a day - but that’s probably not an option this late on Saturday. Some people know just enough to get themselves in trouble.

Moral? If you’re not COMPLETELY SURE how something works, don’t use it until you find out.

bullet Teach What You Need to Learn
Saturday July 05th 2008, 11:33 am

There is an old saying that says we teach what we most need to learn. When I was attending college, I would tutor students in the afternoon based on what I learned that morning in class. For me, that is how I learn best. It cemented it in my head.

Thus the reason for my “You Can Redesign Your Life” weekend teleseminar. I am learning so much amazing stuff and I want to teach it to others. I still can not believe it sometimes. Since I’ve been following my passion (after YEARS of trying to figure out what that was) I have grown so much and have had the success that I always thought was reserved for others. My life is amazing.

Is there room for improvement? Always. If anyone is naive enough to think that there is not anyone that knows more than them on a particular subject, they are not even close to having personal growth. I will always be a student in addition to teacher.

Have a truly awesome day because YOU deserve it!!
