Thanks for visiting!

I always tell my husband that everything happens for a reason. We’ve gone through so much garbage in our lives, but everything has worked out in the end.

Yesterday was a classic example of everything happening for a reason. I’ve been trying for years to get help for my son. I sent him to anger management – they kicked him out. Schools didn’t want to deal with him so they just continued to shuffle him from one to another. He would get kicked out of one and they would send him to another.

Finally, after all these years of trying to get someone to help me and no one believing me about what goes on here, social services in KY saw it for themselves. The police took Mike last night to social services. He tried at first to play nice and innocent. He figured that they would believe him like everyone else has and send him home. What he didn’t know is that the wheels were already set in motion and they had no choice but to keep him. When they told him that, he went BALLISTIC. He screamed, hollered, threatened and they had to call the police back in again to restrain him and take him to the facility where he is going to get some help.

I talked with social services today and now they see what is going on and now they are going to get him some help. He’s 17 and will be 18 in July so they only have a few months to work with him, but hopefully it will be enough.

I miss him already. It feels like there is a hole in my heart, but I know I have to be strong and stay with the program. I have to be strong enough to walk into court on Friday and tell the judge that I want the state to take temporary custody so they can get him help.

This is for the best.

I know that with my head. My heart just hasn’t caught up.

It will.
